I haven't seen Tim for a few years now but that still didn't lessen the impact of his passing. He was the drummer of AMC for many years. He was absolutely instrumental in whatever sound we had. His style was absolutely unique and as an artist no one could match what he did. He was a good friend to so many people and will be missed. What an absolute loss. I wish all the best to his wife Jude and his daughter Dixie. I have spent all day in a fog thinking about him.

nothing anyone can say can lessen the loss, but i am thinking about all of you guys so much right now and love you all. just in shock.
What a shock. Everyone who worked with him or considered him a friend knew that he was all about building bridges between the various worlds he walked in. Thinking about you too, Mark
.
What incredibly sad news. He was so amazingly talented and such a wonderful person. A huge loss in every way.
Hi Mark, I hadn't seen him in a while either, but it was heavy for me too. I wrote a remembrance of him and have also put up a bunch of unreleased tracks, the link to the music is at the bottom of the blog post, which is below. We were lucky to play with a guy like Tim. All the best from the UK, Diana Trimble http://66witches.wordpress.com/2012/07/13/his-beat-will-be-missed/
Dear Mark Eitzel,
Although unrelated to your post, I find it important to tell you how much I appreciate your music. Whether it's American Music Club or your solo work, I find an endless calm when I listen. You're the modern Debussy or Chopin although you're not regarded as such by the mass. I feel that if everyone had a sample of your music, there would be less sadness and corruption in the world. Your music and lyrics, even the despondent ones, have a certain hope and reassurance to them.
I just wanted to say thank you. Although I wish to make no issue of my personal struggles, I will say that your music is what has given me the strength to get through it. You're brilliant beyond words. I hope you know that and I wish more people knew it. If not for your music, I don't know where I would be. You continue to be an inspiration to both my ability to get through personal struggles and to my musicianship. I understand we have never met nor is it likely we will ever speak, but I find it nonetheless important for you to know how special your music is.
I wish you had more fans. However, you'll always have me as a fan and you'll always have my father. He claims he used to email you a lot and Myopic Books by AMC is partly about him (specifically the Dinosaur Jr. bit). I think he's crazy. Anyway, you will always have the support of myself, my father, and my friends. Thank you for being a wonderful musician and a positive impact on me.
Sincerely,
Cassidy (a listener)
